Sahar Alsahlani to Speak Sat. Nov 18th at 1 pm
on Interfaith Nov-Violent Strategies
for Peace and Justice Work
The Fellowship of Reconciliation of Cape Cod is sponsoring a talk by Sahar Alsahlani, Fellowship of Reconciliation USA, Co-Chair, on “Interfaith Non-Violent Strategies for
Justice and Peace,” Saturday, November 18 at 1 pm, at South Congregational Church, Centerville.
A nationally known interfaith leader and researcher, Ms. Alsahlani will reflect on how we
can work together to promote peace and justice in our communities and in the world.
Having worked for many years in Los Angeles as a television writer, producer and editor, including work with USA Broadcasting, Warner Brothers Entertainment, FOX, Paramount,
and Discovery ID, Sahar was also part of a start-up team that launched Bridges-TV: the
first ever, American-Muslim lifestyle network.
In addition to serving on the National Council of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, Ms.
Alsahlani is also on the Executive Council of Religions for Peace, USA, the board of the
Council on American-Islamic Relations-NY, and is a fellow at GreenFaith, an interfaith organization dedicated to climate justice. She regularly participates on the front lines of interfaith action initiatives such as those in held in Charlottesville, Standing Rock, and
Ferguson /St. Louis.
