MISSION

In keeping with mission of the Fellowship of Reconciliation USA, we honor the fragile interdependence of all life on our little planet and seek to protect it by
- vigorously opposing all militarism
- seeking equally to build a culture of peace and non-violence
- seeking reconciliation through compassionate action as we promote the full dignity and freedom of all persons.

2016-17 GOALS

To this end, during the next year and a half, the CCFOR will focus on building a culture of peace and non-violence through:

1.     Promoting systemic racism awareness and seeking anti-racism justice through building police and community relationships which will creatively deal with issues related to youth, the school to prison pipeline, and related economic issues on the Cape which also lead to poverty, homelessness and the lack of affordable housing.

2.     Seeking just reform of our correctional system, the promotion of the rights of prisoners and the elimination of torture and/or prolonged solitary confinement of prisoners.

3.
Continuing to advocate for global nuclear weapons freeze and disarmament while locally collaborating with other likeminded groups  to advocate for the shutdown of dangerous nuclear energy plants (such as our nearby aging Plymouth Nuclear Power Plant), and at the same time, advocate for the development of non-nuclear andnon- fossil fuel energy resources.
